GENERAL ASSEMBLY | UX DESIGN CLASS

As a writer and a marketer, user experience has always been at the forefront of everything I do. To further strengthen my UX writing and design thinking, I took a UX Design class at General Assembly, which was invaluable in helping me think like a designer as I craft user-centric copy. For our class project, we were asked to identify a problem and create a mobile app to solve it.

Problem: Busy city-dwelling professionals find it frustrating and challenging to get the packages they order.

Approach: Series of interviews > competitive research

Insight: People were not getting packages because they weren’t available to receive them. Getting those packages, while important, was very inconvenient.

Solution: Delivered, a location-based package delivery service that makes receiving packages a seamless experience. A trusted recipient accepts your packages, then you pick them up when it’s convenient for you.

Prototype: User flow> feature prioritization > site mapping > usability testing > all led me to my final prototype for the class.
